Translation apps are great face to face, but they can't make a phone call for you, can't be called back, and can't negotiate a different time when the first one is full. Most of Japan's everyday bookings still happen by phone, so you need a person on the line.
Ask is for information only. Book is for anything made, arranged or held in your name, and uses our Japanese number. Handle is for cases with several calls, callbacks or businesses. If a request turns out bigger, we ask first and you only pay the difference.
Many small businesses in Japan close one day a week and take a break between lunch and dinner. If we can't reach them, we try again (the plan includes several attempts) and tell you when we expect an answer.
Your calls are made by our own Japanese-speaking team in Beppu, Oita. We introduce ourselves as a call service working for you, and we write back in plain English, not machine translation.
Usually within minutes during our service hours. Some answers depend on when the business opens or calls back, we tell you if we're waiting.
Not live. We make the call ourselves and send you a clear written summary in English, which is usually more useful than a translated conversation.
Just ask. If it's a normal call to a business in Japan, we can almost certainly help, and asking which plan you need is free.

We book a time that suits you and send the details in English.
Send us a photo of the slip; we book a new delivery time.
We call the railway lost-property offices, identify your item and get it back to you.
Broken water heater, leak, air-con or lock trouble. We report it and chase the callbacks.
So they hold your room.
